Shishira Lukose

Shishira Lukose has an MBA and has completed the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) approved Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in London. While in London, Shishira worked as a counsellor in a primary school as well as with a counselling agency offering counselling services to adults suffering from mild to moderate mental health issues. She uses an Integrative approach to therapy based on her client’s needs but primarily follows the Person-Centred approach which is grounded in the idea that people are inherently motivated towards achieving positive psychological functioning when provided with a safe, non-judgmental and empathic environment to explore their feelings, thoughts, and concerns.

Shishira has 8 years of experience working in Human Resources in Bangalore before moving in 2014 to the US and then UK. While she was abroad, Shishira found herself at a crossroad having taken a forced break in her career due to personal reasons. She decided to change careers and train to become a counsellor, a profession she has always been drawn to. Shishira started her counsellor training in 2019 under the CPCAB, UK’s leading counselling awarding organisation. She is committed to learning and growing as a counsellor by adding various counselling tools, techniques and modalities to her toolkit thereby providing her clients the counselling support that best suits their issues and needs. Shishira provides individual counselling services to children, adolescents and adults.
