Christopher Jayakaran
Christopher Jayakaran is a retired Geologist. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Geology from the Presidency College, Madras in 1968. He worked as a field geologist until 2011, specializing in village water supply schemes. He has worked for non-profit organisations in India, Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Sierra Leone. He has worked for the Common Wealth Secretariat, Japan Techno Consultancy and German Consultancy under their collateral aid programs. His work involved planning, selection, execution, and training of the local counterparts in Groundwater Development in African villages at the grassroots level. His other interests include wildlife photography and writing. He has authored four books in Tamil, related to Geology and Literature. Chris has been associated with Parivarthan as a member since its inception and has been a beneficiary of their consultations.
