Suma. S. Belawadi has been working in the field of Psychology for the past 16 years and has expertise in the field of teaching and counselling. Suma has a Masters in Psychology from Bangalore University and has worked in the academic field. She worked as a Lecturer at Surana Post Graduate Centre, Jyoti Nivas College and Mount Carmel College, Bangalore.

Suma is a Certified Counsellor and holds a certificate in Basic Skills in Counselling, Couple and Family Counselling, Child and Adolescent Counselling and Dance/Movement Approaches in Therapy from Parivarthan. She is also trained in Integral Somatic Psychology, which is a trauma-informed approach and has a keen interest in Indian Psychology. Suma has been associated with Parivarthan since 2017.

Suma served as a counsellor with the Parivarthan Counselling Helpline for a few years and currently functions as a counsellor, trainer and supervisor. As a therapist, she works with adults, children and adolescents. She is proficient in English, Kannada, and Hindi.
